Safety-Critical Hardware, Firmware and Systems Engineering

SIL3 designs and manufactures high integrity hardware and software for environments that have a low tolerance to failure. Since 2007 we have delivered systems for aircraft, spacecraft, drones, automotive, mining equipment and industrial plant, working to IEC 61508, DO-178C, DO-254 and ARP-4754A.

We are based in Pakenham on the eastern edge of Melbourne, and we have in-house capabilities across systems engineering, schematic and PCB design, firmware, FPGA, prototype assembly and verification.

Our Services

Requirements from customer need down to low-level design, architecture modelling, and the traceability matrix that ties the two ends together.

Safety-critical C for ARM Cortex, Texas Instruments, STM32 and Xilinx targets, with unit test, branch and MC/DC coverage.

Altium Designer schematic and layout, FMEDA from the schematic, and in-house pick-and-place for prototypes and small runs.

IEC 61508 SIL determination, FMEDA, hardware fault metrics, and the ARP-4761 chain of FHA, PSSA and SSA.

Xilinx devices in Vivado, verified with CoCoTB simulation, where software is too slow or not deterministic enough.
